*scratches his head* i failed to see how a minipet storage makes more fun?
Anet wont even give general storage or armor storage.And i wonder how long does it take to be sick of minipets running after you if you even bother to take them out in town or outside.

i think if the 2nd pres had to be a mini, it would have to be a mini you, and be UNTRADABLE!!!!!!!!!

i think a more fitting pres for a 2 year GW veteran would be an aura of some kind, or something along the lines of a free choice of a set of weapons of the end game stats type. like sword and shield for a warrior, or a wand and offhand for a caster.

i had a quite funky idea, alow your character to do other prof's dances, such as /dancemonk or /dancenecromancer, this would make your character do the dance of that proffession, making it something funny, such as a full height male warrior doing the female elementalist dance *falls over laughing at image in head*.

I like to think of creatures as their most momerable PvE role. For example, my ele has had mini-mallyx out of a coffer, but she sold that to hold on to her mini Siege Turtle, because they represent nuking. As such, these are the most memorable PvE monsters that I'd like to see as mini-pets:

Mini Bladed Aatxe (baddest sword warriors in the game)
Mini Abyssal (baddest hammer warriors)
Mini Stone Axe Heket (cutest axe warriors in the game, they actually LICK you)
Mini Margonite Anur Su (the ultimate Air eles)
Mini Terrorweb Dryders, or Tortureweb Dryders (meanest nukers in the game)
Mini Rain of Terror (meanest water eles in the game)
Mini Sandstrom Crag/Mini Rage Titan (best earth eles)
Mini Skeletal Ether Breaker (some of the baddest mesmers out there)
Mini Mindblade Specres (ditto)
Mini Mind Tormentor (some of the best Illusion magic mesmers in the game, Conjure Phasntasm for 5 minutes, yaaay)
Mini Margonite Anur Ki (the greatest healers in the game)
Mini Kephket Marrowfeast (one of the best prot monks in the game)
Mini Azure Shadows (some of the bet smiters in the game)
Mini Shadow Rangers (the best barrage rangers in the game)
Mini Stygian Fiend (the best interrupt rangers in the game)
Mini Afflicted Ranger (ugly, but the most annoying afflicted unit)
Mini Nomad Giant (best trappers in the game, that's not saying much though)
Mini Ancient Skale (best life suckers out there - two elite hackers)
Mini Stone Summit Gnasher (first serious MMs in the game) :P
Mini Behemoth Gravebane (best death necros)
Mini Darkened Irukandji (best Rits)
Mini ... (can't think of a single impressive assassin foe in PvE other than Oni)
Mini Behemoth Scytheclaws (one of the best dervishes, I prefer the Madness Titans, but roller beetles are already there)
Mini Sanity Tormentor (nastiest paragons in PvE)
Mini Diamond Djinn (most defensive Paragons, tough to take down)

Honorable mentions:
Mini Lich Lord (the only big time bad guy without a mini)
Mini Confessor Dorian (cause he'd look funny)
Mini Torment Claw (a fan favorite, especially if it can't move) :P
Mini Succulent Juniper (to replace Fungal Wallows as the cheapest minipets ever)
Mini Hunger, Mini Drought and Mini Blasphemy (must be rare so people would be ridiculous prices for them)

Now to look outside of Minis: My suggestion would be jewelry... Braces, bracelettes, rings, necklaces, amulets, ... They offer no buffs, just decorations. And people would be shopping for a set.

How about something that every person and thier dog won't be trading away? I suggest something you can't trade at all. Like the ability to dye and mod (add runes/inscriptions) your holiday hats. Or a special set of armor (being customized you couldn't trade it). Or even a weapon that you could add to the /bonus (which, again, would be customized and untradable). Something that shows your status of being a long time supporter of this great game.

Not "Oooo lookit me I have this uber cool mini pet! *Maps character to LA*, begins to spam "WTS - Newest most uber leet mini pet EVER! only 100k + 100 ectos!"

Anything at all that isn't a mini pet. Please.

An open able present that gives you either:
A great percentage at getting green purple and gold pets,
Two white min-pets,
An attachable thing to stick on to armor that gives it an aura,
A hat of some kind,
A mini-Gwen,
And last of all, a third profession. XD.

P.S. ANet, In the video for the game, Devonna is an assassin. In the game, shes a hammer warrior, thought you should know.

I'm happy to hear that 2 year veterans will be recieving another B-day gift as well. When mini-pets were recieved during the first year, it was an awesome gift, as well as shock, and they're quite the cute addition to the game. However, I believe another year of them, would take away from the excitement of a gift, if we recieved the same thing for the 2nd year in a row. So please, no mini B-day gifts =)

As for ideas other than mini pets..

---I love the idea mentioned, by a few others, for the ability to remodel your character's appearance. When I made my oldest character back in prophecies, that's all we had, was those faces,hair,skin color etc. And height. Now there's 3 campaigns, and soon a 4th, and a better variety. Being able to adjust what I now find "blah" would be a neat gift.

---I like the idea as well for a title showing just how old a veteran to GW you really are. Date and all perhaps?

---I'm not so big on the glowing auras idea, it reminds me too much of Diablo 2 L.O.D, the green sets, and people running around glowing, got kind of annoying after awhile lol.

---I would wish, being that some weapons/wands/staffs etc. are rare drops, that we'd be able to pick and choose any ONE skin we like, and choose the mods to go with it, and make it already customized for that character's use, so as not to have the trade market flooded with 100k+++ gold items XD. But that idea may seem a little much, as well as most likely hard to have a choice of options layed out in front of a person of all the weapons in the game

. But I figured it was an idea to put out there to build on, so what-the-hey.

..Out of ideas for now..maybe will think on it, but please, most of all, no more minis (I do love those cute minis, not hatin' on 'em, but a new "shock factor" would be nice

Guys, come one, a two year old character isn't going to get a mount or crazy non cosmetic add-ons. It's a gift, a present for having a 'character' that is two years old. I have all three collector's editions and I still think all gifts should be cosmetic. I just hope it's not another random gift, I mean that's fine and all but when you open up a gift and get a green mini-pet and you just so happen to be only one of thirty to get it, you're now rich if you want to be. Better off just tell A-Net to give us all 400k or something.

Today at work I had a nice idea, thought more for an event and not a birthday. But when I first saw margonite wings I immediately thought "I want a pair" maybe a hat that gives you glowy dyeable wings on your back for looks.

Personally I like the Special Armor idea. Have it basically be like Nightfall armor, so you can rune/insignia it to your desires, but have the Headpiece be like Hero armor, the +1 Attribute bonus depends on the rune attached to it.

Nah personally, I dont like new minipets, we already have enough of them and new varieties are being made every month. New hats wouldnt be that interesting as well, got too many of those.

Basically anything that has a limited use, wouldnt be fun either. It would be better if something was untradable, just because its customized or only interesting for yourself. Too many ppl would just sell their presents.

Maybe unlimited use of a special transmogrifier potion, or you could make a special skill that works kind of like a Dervish Form. Though it would mean the person can only take 7 usable skills, since the Disguise Skill doesnt have any benefit, other then changing your appearance. If you go for the unlimited transmo potion, you can have different 'flavors' of them, that would mean ppl will start trading them though, but it will be less plain if all have the same disguise. Or you can make it a special emote ofc.

people theres no point saying "MORE STORAGE! MORE STORAGE!" coz its just not going to happen, and the idea of special armor, very doubtful, it would give people an unfair advantage in both PvE and PvP, unless you want to make it unable to be used in PvP.

i like the idea of a kind of "goodie bag", like a choice of a certain item/items, like 2 white minis, 1 gold mini, a green weapon etc etc etc, would give people a nice choice of either what they want or need, instead of being given a mini pet they think is ugly, looks crap with there character, and they will never use.

my one major argument with minis is the fact that some people get really nice ones, bone dragon etc, and they may have played the game 3 times over that year, and the hard working player, gets a god damn rot wallow!!!!!!!, it takes the you know what, i think a fair, reasonable b-day present for a 2 year Anet customer is in order, something that will make the game a more enjoyable experience, maybe make one of there characters just a little nicer, a nice new weapon, or a nice new dance, something to realy make them stand out from the crowd, something they cant bloody sell!!!!!, we dont want a 2 month old character, whose player is an ebay gold buyer with a 2 year old characters special item like you get with minis, VIVA LA RESISTANCE!

OMG... some guys do play this game... even though u see alot of female characters, alot of those are guys....

Honestly though, i do like the idea of something other then mini pet... like... well, 100k would fit nicely in my storage...

But for items... i would say something universal like....

Instead of your name being blue in town, its yellow, or your armor or weapons have a special glow or tint to them or something... u cant trade it, its attached to your character... ya, it might be lame, but its better then nothen....

I've have prophies collector's edition and an aura for second birthdays sounds great but also sounds like a pain in the @ss to put into a code. I think it would have to be account based type of thing besides I don't really want another aura. And don't insult us with guildwars money! I have plently of it and I would find it insulting that for my second birthday I get cash I don't need. Their is nothing special in money. Next on the menu is more storage, Come on guys stick with the topic on hand please. I know every one wants more storage but if it was intruduced it would have to for everyone not just two year vets. If something was introduced it would have to be in a simple code that was also universal so stop asking for mini version of your own personal charater. Other then that I wanna see.
